AlexAutomate is led by Alexandre Viegas, a Senior IT Consultant and Technical Project Manager with 10+ years delivering operational modernization across the Canadian government and private sector. He didn't start this business to sell software. He started it because he saw firsthand how much time and potential gets buried under the weight of broken processes.
Passionate, ambitious, and the kind of person who doesn't stay quiet when he sees a problem that needs solving.
After 10+ years working across nearly every corner of IT — infrastructure, automation, cloud, project management, security, CRM, application development, and change management — Alex made a deliberate choice: stop working for systems that resist change, and start helping the people who actually need it.
His career spans both public and private sector at the highest levels. On the government side, he's delivered projects across 10+ federal departments, gaining a rare and deep understanding of how the public sector actually operates — the bureaucracy, the constraints, the politics, and yes, what it actually takes to move things forward inside those walls. He's held concrete responsibilities in almost every IT role imaginable. On the private side, he supported the early growth phase of River Analytics and led VoIP solutions deployments at 8x8 Inc.
But the truth is, Alex didn't leave government work because he ran out of opportunities. He left because he found his purpose elsewhere — in the small and mid-sized businesses that are quietly struggling with the same operational chaos that large organizations throw millions at, without the budget or the team to match. That gap is real, under-documented, and fixable. That's where AlexAutomate comes in.
He's also perfectly bilingual (French and English), which matters more than people think when you're navigating client relationships, documentation, and cross-functional teams across Canada.
